ICC Albania General Assembly elects Bilgen Aldan, CEO of ALBtelecom as Chairwoman
Bilgen Aldan, CEO of ALBtelecom Albania becomes Chairwoman of ICC Albania
?Bilgen Aldan was officially elected yesterday as the new Chair of ICC Albania during the General Assembly meeting. Ms. Aldan marks a milestone for ICC Albania by becoming the first woman to Chair the organization.
Ms. Aldan will begin her three-year term as Chairwoman on the 1st of October taking over this position from current Chair, Mr. Ilir Daci, Managing Partner at Optima Legal and Financial.
Upon official election, Ms. Aldan shared first thoughts on her appointment as Chairwoman to ICC Albania.
Ms. Aldan said:
‘’ I am very delighted and honored to be elected as Chair of the Executive Board of ICC Albania. Together with the board we will put all our energies to promote and protect businesses interests, aiming at further improving business climate and economic development of the country.”
The General Assembly also trusted by vote other four leaders of the Executive Board for the term 2021-2024.
Two new members joined the Executive Board;
▶️Ms. Sabina Lalaj, Local Legal Partner at Deloitte Legal Albania and Kosovo. Ms. Lalaj is a senior lawyer specialized in commercial law, mergers and acquisitions, project finance, procurement, PPPs and concessions and employment.
▶️Mr. Eduard Halimi, Founder and Managing Partner at Halimi Law and Tax. Mr. Halimi is a senior lawyer with experience in both the private and public sectors. Mr. Halimi and is a former politician who served as Minister of Justice from 2011-2013.
▶️While Mr. Seyhan Pencabligil, CEO and Board Member at BKT – Banka Kombetare Tregtare Kombetare Tregtare and Mr. Genc Boga, Founder and Managing Partner at Boga & Associates were reconfirmed as members of the Executive Board.
