On the 4th of July 2018, the ICC Albania General Assembly met to elect the business leaders and new Chairperson who will lead the organization for the upcoming term 2018-2021.

Mr. Ilir Daci, Founder and Managing Partner at Optima Legal & Financial elected as the Chairman of ICC Albania, the representative office of the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC) in Albania.

Following his election as Chairman, Mr. Daci said:

”I am pleased to have been entrusted by the members of ICC Albania with the duty to lead the organization for the next three years. Trusting in the power of the International Chamber of Commerce, the world business organization, I strongly commit to pursue the priority agenda of ICC in Albania in the areas of corporate integrity, arbitration, international trade and finance, energy security and digital economy as the major challenges of the business community. Little can be achieved alone but getting along together we can accomplish great things. While it is of utmost importance for the business to nurture its growth, it needs to follow the right recipe which would not only prosper the economy but would also be a precious contribution for the next generations.”

The General Assembly also reconfirmed as Board members for another term Mr. Genc Boga, Founder and Managing Partner at Boga & Associates and Mr. Seyhan Pencabligil, CEO and Board Member at Banka Kombetare Tregtare.

Two new members joined the Executive Board;

Mr. Avni Ponari, CEO of SIGAL Uniqa Group Austria. Mr. Ponari is a distinguished business leader in the insurance industry and with a relevant contribution in many other business organization boards through years.

Mr. Burak Yurtsever, Vice President and CFO of ALBtelekom. Mr. Yurtsever is also currently the CEO of ALBtelecom International, the subsidiary in Kosovo. Mr. Yurtsever is a young successful leader with an international experience in finance and telecommunications industry.
