Practical guidance for more effective communication, member engagement and business representation

Effective communication is an essential part of how business organisations engage with their members, represent business interests and build dialogue with institutions and other stakeholders.

As part of its work to strengthen the ecosystem of business organisations, ICC Albania, with the support of EBRD andd SECO, has developed the Communication Toolkit for Business Organisations.

The Toolkit builds on the findings of a survey conducted with business organisations, insights from the trainings organised as part of the project, and relevant national and international good practices.

It provides practical guidance for chambers of commerce and business associations on key aspects of communication and engagement, including:

  • developing a more structured approach to communication;
  • communicating with and engaging members;
  • communicating with institutions and other stakeholders;
  • making effective use of different communication channels and tools; and
  • strengthening the link between communication, business representation and organisational objectives.

The Toolkit was presented as part of the forum “Business Voice: From Representation and Dialogue to Real Impact in Decision-Making”, held on 30 September 2026, together representatives of business organisations, their members and public institutions to exchange experiences and discuss ways to strengthen business representation and dialogue.

The Communication Toolkit is intended as a practical resource that business organisations can adapt to their own size, structure, resources and specific needs.
